A conveyor chain comprises a series of interconnected links, each of which comprises a transversely extending bar 3, the end portions of which are bent to form sockets which pivotally receive the transverse bar of the next link, each terminal portion 2 of the bar extending up. wardly at an acute angle to the plane containing the transverse bars and outwardly at an acute angle to a vertical plane extending longitudinally of the conveyor chain.
